Quickstart — 7 steps

1Pick a mode — in the big BLUEPRINT / CINEMATIC bar at the top

Blueprint gives front, side, rear, and three-quarter views with a scale reference and short diagram labels only. Pure Blueprint (wireframe), in Blueprint mode in the left panel, strips color, glow, and lighting from the prompt and gives thin light-blue line art only on a dark blue blueprint background — wireframe schematic, no color fill, no shading, no scene. Cinematic reuses the exact same mech identity — same silhouette, proportions, colors, armor, and equipment — and changes only the pose, camera, terrain, and lighting.

2Type your robot type and scene — or pick a bot style

Robot Type and Scene are groups in the middle picker. Robot Type now has preset bot styles (rhino, eagle, man, wolf, shark, spider, crab, bear, dragon, samurai, knight, toaster, lighthouse, and the rest of the chassis list) with a text box underneath for anything else — typed words win over a preset, and only one bot style is used, so you never get a rhino+eagle+man mess. Scene opens to a text box: type anything, turn it into a mech warrior.

3Build the mech, group by group

Open each group in the middle picker, tick as many options as you like, or use Select all on a group. Chassis inspiration is kept separate from locomotion on purpose, so a rhino-inspired mech can be bipedal, tracked, hovering, or flying. Prompts are additive: every pick adds, and the same clause is never repeated twice in one prompt.

4Try an MVP preset if you want a fast start

Compact salvage biped, heavy rhino quadruped, or deep-sea crab walker. Presets set the option groups only — they never touch your typed robot type, scene, signature detail, additional directions, toggles, format, or target.

5Set reference and identity lock

Reference OFF means a pure text prompt. Turn reference ON in the left panel and choose Single or Multiple to add reference-handling language for use with your own reference images in your own generator — this tool does not upload files. Strict identity lock demands the silhouette, proportions, colors, armor, and equipment stay exactly as specified, while pose and camera stay free.

6Set output size

Pick 16:9, 9:16, 1:1, 4:5, or 3:2, or choose Custom size and type your own size. The size appears as the Format line at the top of the prompt.

7Generate, surprise, copy, or reset — right by the prompt

All buttons live right by the prompt, in the prompt panel, and nowhere else. Nothing is generated automatically: you must hit Generate prompt to build your prompt, and if you have not yet, the prompt area says so plainly: "No prompt yet — pick options, then hit Generate." Surprise Me re-rolls the option groups with ONE bot style only and never touches your typed words, toggles, format, or target. Copy prompt copies it for your own image model. Reset tool clears everything back to blank. In Blueprint mode, use the Blueprint specifications box in the left panel for your own specs, and the No Text toggle if you want no letters, labels, or signage in the image at all — No Text overrides diagram labels, while your specs still go in the separate Technical description. Copy that description separately — it is detailed specification text, not text to render inside the image.

FAQ

What happens if I leave a group blank?

Nothing. A blank group adds zero words to the prompt. Only groups with a tick or typed words appear in the output.

What is the difference between blank and Random?

Blank means the tool says nothing about that ingredient. Random means the prompt explicitly tells the image AI to decide that ingredient. They are different, and Random in a group overrides other picks in that same group.

Can I pick more than one option in a group?

Yes — every group is multi-select. Tick as many as you like, or use Select all on a group. Picks add cumulatively, and identical clauses are deduplicated so the prompt never repeats itself.

Why are Robot Type and Scene text boxes?

Because you can turn anything into a mech warrior. Robot Type also has preset bot styles, but no dropdown could cover every animal, object, or idea, so the text box underneath is yours to type, in full, and typed words win over a preset.

Why does Surprise Me only pick one bot style?

Because picking rhino plus eagle plus man in one roll made a mess. Surprise now picks one bot style (and its matching chassis, if it has one) per roll. Other groups still roll multiple picks. Manual picks in other groups stay additive.

What does Pure Blueprint (wireframe) do?

Turn it on in Blueprint mode (left panel, near the Blueprint specifications box). The prompt becomes thin light-blue line art only on a dark blue blueprint background, with no color fill, no shading, no cinematic lighting, and no scene. The engine strips color/glow preset phrases from the prompt itself. Your specs still go in the separate Technical description. Turn it off for a normal Blueprint with a full-color mech. With No Text on as well, the image has no text of any kind, line art only.

What does No Text do in Blueprint mode?

It adds explicit no-text language and overrides diagram labels, so the image has no letters, labels, or signage at all. Your Blueprint specifications still appear in the separate Technical description block, which is specification text, not image text.

I see "No prompt yet" — is something broken?

No. Nothing is generated automatically. Pick options or type words, then hit Generate prompt, right by the prompt box. That message is there so you know you have not generated one yet.

What is the mech identity, and why does it matter?

Your chassis, size, locomotion, armor, power core, equipment, and signature detail together form one reusable identity. Blueprint mode documents it; Cinematic mode reuses it, so the mech in the battle scene is recognizably the same mech as the blueprint.

Why is the technical description separate in Blueprint mode?

Dense text is unreliable inside generated images. Blueprint images get short diagram labels only, and the full detailed specification is supplied as a separate block you can copy on its own.

Does Mech Warrior generate images?

No. It produces prompt text only. Copy the prompt into your own image model, with your own reference images if you use reference mode.

How do I start over?

Press Reset tool at the bottom of the page, in the prompt panel. It clears every tick, every typed word, the identity lock, reference back to OFF, the target back to Any image model, and the format back to Wide 16:9 — the exact fresh-page state, without reloading.

Is my prompt stored anywhere?

No. The prompt is assembled on request and returned to your browser. Nothing you type is kept on the server beyond the request itself.

Tip: build the mech once in Blueprint mode, copy the technical description, then flip to Cinematic mode with the same picks and generate again. Same mech, new scene.
